How to apply - general information
The Rio 2009 Feldenkrais Training Program is open to anyone interested
in learning the Feldenkrais Method. Previous experience is not required
to be accepted in the training.
We expect a wide variety of people coming from different backgrounds
and professions. Students will come from Brazil and from many other
countries. This mixture enriches the learning experience as it helps
everybody to go beyond habitual ways of thinking and to develop a more
transdiciplinary view of human experience.
Applicants should send a letter including the following information:
- Personal data: name, birthdate, profession, address, telephone, email.
- Goals: What do you desire for your personal development or career by taking this training?
- Interest: What interests you about the Feldenkrais Method?
- Feldenkrais experience: What experience do you have with the Feldenkrais Method? (Lack of previous experience will not exclude a prospective student from acceptance).
- Work experience: Provide a brief history of your educational and work experience.
- Personal history: Include experiences pertinent to your life which are non-academic, as well as hobbies or anything else that you feel is important for us to know about you.
- Impairments: Please describe any special physical, psychological or other condition that might affect your ability to participate fully in the program.

Applicants will be notified within 30 days after application receipt. If your application is accepted you will be contacted for a brief interview on the telephone. Upon approval, a $ 500.00 deposit will be required to reserve space in the program. If the prospective student cannot commit to the training program after their placement has been confirmed, the $500.00 deposit will be refunded minus a $50.00 processing fee.
Enrollment is limited. We are expecting up to 45 students.

In case of instructor and/or location change, applicants will be notified
30 days in advance of program start date and given the option of participation
or a refund. Training programs are subject to cancellation with 30
days advance notice.
