Heide Jung came to the Feldenkrais Method from a background in educational sciences. She received her degree in educational sciences from Johannes - Gutenberg University in Mainz. In 1992 she finished her Feldenkrais Training in Hamburg, Germany. Since 1994 she has a full time private practice in Mainz. She has for the past 15 years worked as a Feldenkrais practitioner as a part of the faculty in the departments of music, sports and pedagogics of Johannes-Gutenberg University.

Additionally she teaches the Feldenkrais Method at the State Theatre of Mainz and in various companies. She has more than 10 years experience in classical ballet and Aikido; and since 2004 she has worked as an Assistant Trainer in various Feldenkrais Training Programs.

She speaks Portuguese and in the Rio 2009 Feldenkrais Training she will also serve as an Assistant Trainer.

Her enthusiasm for Brazil and the Feldenkrais Method has encouraged her to organize the first International Feldenkrais Training Program in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) together with Hans Reikdal Machado.


Hans Reikdal Machado is a psychologist graduated at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and a martial artist, disciple of master Léo Imamura (Ving Tsun Kung Fu).

Since 1995 he’s been studying the body-mind relationship with special emphasis in the influence of embodiment in the various aspects of health. He discovered the Feldenkrais Method in 1997 and became instantly passionate about its subtle and yet powerful way to promote health and help individuals in achieving their full potential.

He took his training under the direction of Jerry Karzen in Hawaii. Since his graduation in 2002 he’s been working as a Feldenkrais Practitioner in São Paulo/Brazil. He is also one of the organizers of Anthropos – Body-Mind Integration Center at the Federal University of São Paulo.

Hans will accompany the training continuously as the organizer and experienced Feldenkrais practicioner.

 

Local Organizer

estherschorrEsther Schorr Raphael is an enthusiastic researcher and has been a therapist and teacher of corporal techniques for over 25 years. She got her Feldenkrais degree in Israel, in the year of 2001, being certified by the International Feldenkrais Federation. She is also graduated in Dance (1987) and in Therapy and Motor Rehabilitation through Movement (1992) by the Angel Vianna School, in Rio de Janeiro.

While in Israel she also worked for two years as one of Mark Reese’s assistants in his biographical research about Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais.

In the Feldenkrais Rio 2009 training program she is a local organizer, being an experienced Feldenkrais practitioner and an influential person in the dance and movement therapy scenes of Rio de Janeiro.
